Active Autowerke Signature exhaust system, some driveby footage!

I've had the exhaust system on the car for a few months now, finally got around to just taking a tiny bit of footage. A slow takeoff and a wot takeoff and some flybys. Car as catlass dp's and front intakes tuned on BM3

Nice video. Such a shame that the speed limit on that long stretch is 35 lol

Man, those 0-35 times are awesome!

Sounds good though, thanks for making life hard. Stuck between this, or the AA midpipe and remus rear, or every other damn exhaust option out there.....

I was in the same position as you, all the other exhaust systems are pretty much routed exactly the same, minus different metals, and tips, the AA is the only true 3.5" exhaust and it definitely helps take the most amount of rasp.

I had this setup for a month. Ended up selling it. Hated it.

Four biggest issues
1. Highway drone (valves both open and closed)
2. Because of the nature of the design of this muffler, with valves closed the exhaust gases only flow through one side of the exhaust.
3. The tips were not aligned properly. As in, the welding that spaced them apart was not the same across left and right side
4. The rear muffler kept loosening up on the mounts and sliding down - no matter how hard I tightened the bolts.

I get what your saying about the drone, bothers me on long drives when my windows are up, but I don't really notice it when they are all down, the tips do need some adjusting to get them right.

for the loosening bolts I have had this exhaust on for over 6 months and have had no problems.

Would I get flamed if I said it simply sounds like a louder version of the stock exhaust? The note isn't changed much. Of course, exhaust note is a matter of preference and there's no doubt it's a well constructed piece.

You cannot expect it to sound suddenly as a AMG, Ducati, Porsche, or Honda PX50 just by changing the exhaust. Off course you will still hear the typical sound of the S55 block + turbos.
