From my perspective they are installable based on the pics. If they sound great I'll just slightly grind down The lip that they appear to be rubbing on in the provided picture if I find myself with the same issue. The mark on the dp in the above post looks like the dp is just barely catching the lip/edge of the aluminum pan slightly. I could round that edge down near the dp worse case.

Is that the stock exhaust or aftermarket? I have aa signature and my mid pipe wanted to raise my dps a little when bolted on. Wondering if your exhaust could be having the opposite effect

If someone does buy the ARM Downpipes they will most likely have to use some Spacers on the Aluminum Bellypan for proper clearance . I Would love to hear back from those that went ahead and ordered .... Photo below of where they were hitting belly pan.

I will say this..... Resonated Downpipes sound much better than regular Downpipes.

Well even after reading this thread I pulled the trigger on the ARM resonated pipes for our M2 comp. Called the company and asked about the rubbing of the belly pan and they are aware some may rub and they include spacers now of that is the case. Excited to see how well these fit and sound.

Our 4" resonators are installed in the perfect location to enhance the sound of your S55 without compromising the precise fitment of our M4 downpipes. I guess precise is subjective however they do look like a good option

Planning to install a set after my driveshaft recall is completed. If they don't fit, I have a backup set of pipes waiting to go in. Last edited by TheirThere; 09-20-2019 at 01:37 AM.. |

Just an update, installed these pipes on my M2 Comp. Fitment was spot on, the added alum washer I didn't use, I reshaped the one spot in the alum belly pan slightly to make some room for the longer DP's. I'm impressed how quiet this off-road dp actually are, the resonator is doing its job and smell isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Running BM3 stage 2 93 with AA mid-pipe and the sound to me is very good, no raspy crap which I didn't want, also lowered all the burbles way down . Not sure if the car needs to get used to the different dp's but it actually feels a little slower than when it has the stock DP's on as if it's missing the backpressure. Hopefully its all in my head. Regardless, these are worth the cost IMO.

Thanks for the update.
Sound clip and pictures of the gap between the aluminum brace and the DPs? How much louder would you say the exhaust sound increase is? Didn't plan on going the down-pipe route on this car due to the rasp/sound increase but this has got me thinking. |

Awesome, it would be much appreciated. I have AA mid-pipe as well so happy that it doesn't sound too much louder. I have Remus axle-back and the AA/Remus combo sounds horrible with normal downpipes.
