I used a circular disc sander. I tape around the spacers several mm higher and sand until it's even all around to the tape line.

Well... I killed my lightweight lip... got into a fight with a curb and straight ripped it off the bumper and warped it. It held up amazing considering. Still looks great just bent some so I can testify this thing will break your bumper before the lip breaks hahahaha

Does this lip now fit without having to undergo extensive fabrication and customisation of the spacers bolts washers? Really wanted this lip but not going to bite the bullet until lightweight have totally rectified the fitment issues. Almost every picture in this thread including the V2 I can see noticeable bowing in the middle and it really does not look good at all.

But, personally, like you, I didn't like that so I shaved the large center spacer as well as the two inner small, round spacers down. I may go back and shave it down some more. It's actually very easy to do with a circular disc sander... literally takes a few minutes. Tape the spacers to the exact amt you want to remove then use the disk sander to shave those spacers down. You can use the exact same bolts and screws to install them. |

I wonder if they designed the lip with the splitters in mind hence the increased length of the spacers.

Yes, but it is a very hard urethane and will take you a long time. You can also use something like a very fine toothed coping saw and slice off 5-10mm if you are careful and can cut very straight. Also, it was trial and error for me so if you find that you need to grind down more of it, it's easier to do it with a disc sander. I probably cut off about 5mm but can probably cut another 5 mm if I really want to make it sit totally flat rather than to bow down a bit in the middle to follow the contour of the bumper.

supremepower I'm not seeing this lip on your website. Are you still a vendor?
I do however see it on tom @ eas 's website so I know he's one. However I don't see the center support so I'm assuming it's V1? Anyway, do either of y'all have any updates on fitment of this thing nowadays? I'm certainly interested in the product, but the reports of irregular fitment aren't very reassuring, plus I'm even more concerned about having it make the aero/stability actually WORSE at high speeds.

I've scraped this thing so many times and it's still like new. This thing is so durable and you don't have to worry about it coming off. If it does come off, it'll be your whole front bumper, not just the lip. I've hit over 170 without any problems
