I shot a message to xHP, but no reply so far.

Anyone know if the 19bar line pressure upgrade comes with the base flash license, or is the map pack license required to get the higher clutch pressure?

from my understanding of what I read in XHP Flasher you get 19 bar line pressure upgrade when you flash stage 1, 2 or 3 in your car. License is just to connect bin number to device.

Is XHP stage 3 truly better and faster shifting than Thor GTS flash?

I've been playing with my xhp and so far the stock stage 3 settings seem to work the best with my current setup.

I wanted to adjust the rpm it shifts into 2nd and 3rd during launch control. Right now it revs all the way to 7200 rpm.

Is there a way to lower the max rpm first to 2nd shift and 2nd to 3rd shift? From there I can shift manually.

I saw some max rpm limit for d and s mode but, I haven't played with that feature yet.

I just flashed the XHP stage 3 and need to make some minor adjustments to the shift map editor. I am coming from the MHD GTS flash and can say that the shifts are noticably smoother. I will need some more for the transmission to fully adapt but all in all I'm pleased. I have been interested in this because of the great results on the wife's car. I was hoping for more reviews but couldn't wait. I will report back with more once I get it dialed in.

I think you need to edit Max. Rpm setting, if you activate it and read it say M cars use common limit for all modes(D/Manual) so you edit for every change(1-2 2-3 etc) and this values are for all modes, auto, manual(launch because without it these cars hit rev limiter same as truly manual car).

The shift map editor will adjust your manual mode rev limit too?

Thanks

Flashed XHP stage 3 and I have to say it is noticeably better than Thor GTS DCT flash. Was skeptical at first but after trying it first hand, I can confidently say without a doubt it is better. There is no more jerking on the 3rd to 2nd gear downshifts when coasting to a stop. The stock DCT tune was notorious for this and the Thor GTS DCT flash greatly reduced the occurence. But the XHP stage 3 has effectively eliminated this from existence. High rpm gear upshifts feel quicker and less spongy than Thor GTS. Instant upshifts and downshifts without any perceivable lag

Have you compared to the Thor CS flash? I noticed a big difference in smoothness and shift speed when changing from GTS to CS in Thor.

I still have the 3 -> 2 jerk but it's not as bad as before...I've only driven it for two days so I'm hoping it gets better. Overall, reasonably satisfied with the performance.

To me, I feel the Thor CS flash is smoother than Thor GTS flash in low to mid rpm shifts but in high rpm shifts it feels more rough than GTS. I’m running bm3 e30 stage 2 ots map.

Are you comparing with the Thor GTS flash? Also yes it gets better the more you drive it and as the clutch adaptations wear in. I had the very slight 3-2 jerk for first hundred km then it went away. You could reset the clutch adaptations to manually speed up the process.

Any complications if I were to say make the switch from Thor to this platform?

It is my understanding that my Thor DCT flash is uploaded onto the car and stays independent from my actual tuning software (Ecutek) and I believe the file itself is uploaded and stored in a different place (TCU specific?) ... but what I am not sure about is how a change between different DCT tune files would work.

And is the DCT file itself that makes the call for a requested level of clamping force? Electronically controlled operations similar to the way the electronic wastegates and boost control work on these cars?

If so, can we monitor the "target vs actual" clamping using our main tuning software (e.g. bootmod3, Ecutek, mhd, etc) or does the XPH platform provide some sort of mobile device Bluetooth-enabled user interface?

Has anyone been able to direct connect from an iPhone using Enet with Ethernet adapter? I can get BM3 working just fine with direct connecting my phone but XHP will not connect to the vehicle.

Yes, that's the only way I've been flashing with it. I've had difficulty when using airplane mode, so I just ignore it.

Figured it out, "allow access to local network" must be on to use the Ethernet connection. Loaded up just fine after that!

I gotta test out the auto shift settings on xhp this weekend!

If I can set my own shift points. I wanna see if letting the car shift automatically during a 60-130 run is better then shifting manually?

For getting better times. I'm sure it's gotta be more more consistent. Anyone try this yet?

Hmmm
