Fabspeed Mid pipe (advice) and wanted / where to buy

Hi ladies and gents,
I have the MPE and wanting to get the fabspeed midpipe for the f82, for a little bit of extra sound and deeper less raspy note (so I have been told it improves).

Wondering if anyone can confirm the changes in sound and recommend it along with the MPE.

Also wondering if anyone has one for sale or where to buy from.. Not really experienced/confident with overseas online shopping and wondering if there is a distributor in Aus.

Thanks

Why fabspeed??

Because it's apparently a bolt on no modification/cutting required if I already have the M performance exhaust...

you actually lose the rasp with the fabspeed

that's specifically why they built the x pipe in

I wouldn't mind a little less rasp and deeper tone... 👍

My fabspeed x pipe fit the car perfectly and the exhaust guy I used was very impressed with its quality.

They do a lot of custom exhausts and I trust his opinion.

Fitment was spot on.

The best choice for MPE imo.

Sounded great mate. Lost the rasp and with the MPE was just insane.

Great quality piece.

Wait for one second hand and snap it up.

Mine sold quickly to a friend here on the forum.

Waiting for a second hand one to pop up is key, new price landed at over $2k is just crazy

You could just go to a local exhaust shop, remove your oe pipe, and have them replicate it on a bench

Pm me I have a good exhaust fab bloke here in melb, we'll get him to do 2

While are you waiting get an exhaust shop to cut out the secondary cats and put straight pipes. Very loud, to raspy for me but many who heard it loved it.

I liked it more with the exhaust valves closed (I had a valve controller for the exhaust flaps).

No harm and totally reversible.

Don't think a exhaust shop can replicate the fabspeed x pipe from just cutting out secondary cats and putting in straight pipes. The fabspeed x pipe has much thicker metal than the OEM one and thicker metal kills rasp. For an exhaust shop to get the exact same fabrication as fabspeed, they would need to construct a whole new pipe from scratch

yeh that's the idea, completely new pipe using existing midpipe to get bends in right spot

we have flexibility to choose any metal grade we want

I believe there's a group buy going on the fabspeed which makes it easier than custom fab'ing

Doesn't look like this group bug is going to happen.. quotes are around $2163aud, delivered to your door all taxes paid... which is on par with quotes directly through fabspeed factoring in taxes, individually anyway. Still confirming a few things... will keep you all posted.
