What's the deal with the LED and Icon lights looking yellow?

On my search for an M4; one thing I have noticed to be an issue is the LED or Icon (if specced) headlights and DRLs. A lot of the time they are a tint of yellow or sometimes they are actually full-on yellow.

Now, I'm under the impression that these headlights are supposed to be pure white? From what I have read when they begin to turn yellow the system is failing and the whole thing needs replacing?

Is this another weakness f these cars? I have some pics for example.

Different cameras, editing and top two are in DRL mode whilst your third pic has low beams on

I can assure you these lights are anything but yellow irl

I had this problem, but you could tell between the driver and passenger side that one side was yellowing and the other was pure white. Got it replaced under warranty. The work order said something like burned contacts, LED permanent failure.
