Bought an Oem M Performance front lip and M Performance replica carbon splitters. I installed the carbon splitters first. Then when I installed the front M Performance lip I noticed I had a gap where the lip meets the splitters and you can see the two mounting tabs.
So I picked up another set of splitters ( RW Carbon ) that are specifically made for the m performance front lip and the gap is still there. Am I doing something wrong ? What am I missing here….. Any insight on what is going on in pics would be very helpful. BTW… the grills are pushed back for install. The gap I am talking about is the bottom lip gap where it meets splitters.

Yes I got oem replica splitters from RW Carbon ( not paying $900 for bmw ).
They are supposed to be identical to oem and are made specifically to fit M Performance lip. I actually called them to confirm this before ordering.

Welcome to the world of aftermarket... This is why the M performance splitters cost 800 bucks.

Can't afford to run this set up the proper way and cannot figure out why the fitment is poor. Imagine that. The F80 section is sure getting wild with these cars on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th owners.

Yup, I cannot afford the proper setup lmfao😂 This is my 3rd f80 😳. With that being said, I chose not to pay $900 for 2 carbon splitters this time. There are plenty of people running aftermarket splitters with no issues at all.

I mean shit, all it took for me was a few trips to cars and coffee in West Palm beach back in 2019 to realize that if the pieces weren't OEM, they had serious quality and fitment issues. Live and learn.
