KW DDC on Car without EDC?

I just recently got a set of KW DDC's, and am wondering if its possible to fit them to a non-EDC car? I thought I would have been able to use a WLAN module and control them with my phone but I called KW and they said it wouldn't work. Is there something that they or I am missing?

I have them listed for sale right now as well, trying to either sell outright or trade for a set that doesn't need EDC. If anyone has suggestions I'm open to it!

kw is correct. You should sell them a get regular KW V3.
DDC and V3 ride about the same.

They make a DDC ECU model for cars without edc. Maybe you can just buy the ecu module? Maybe they don't explicitly have a mapping for a f80. apparently they do fo th ef30 though.

EDC Retrofit is also possible, I've done it on an F87 M2C.
