Not unless you’re taking it in for a radio/electronics issue.

You may want to make sure CarPlay is not activated so they can get into the service or idrive menus. Or tell them in advance about holding the button down for 3 seconds.

Not sure what you mean by service history idrive log
1. Your key is read by the dealer, not your car. Your key has all the pertinent information

2. If you’re referring to the service reset, that can be done via the OBC button without the need for idrive menu but if you want to see your idrive service menu, you’ll need to be out of CarPlay mode. Dealers won’t know how to exit out of CarPlay since it’s aftermarket.

That screen has nothing to do with CarPlay module.
Again. You just need to make sure they can access idrive from your CarPlay device. Either tell them or put it in idrove menu and disconnect your device from iOS so it doesn’t launch

Ah ok, was just worried when they do service on my car and want to add it using their computer, the technician’s computer would not be able to establish connection to the headunit due to an interference from the mmi module

Thanks🙏

If the dealer has to program your car the MMI will interfere and would need removed. It interferes with communication to the head unit.
