M3 CS - KW HAS wheel clearance

I have the KW HAS kit installed on my F80 M3 CS, and currently running 10mm spacers all around with 763M wheels (19x9et29 front w/ 265/35; 20x10et40 rear w/ 285/30).

Question I have: I'd like to take the spacers off before an upcoming track session... can anyone confirm whether or not the OEM 763M wheels will interfere w/ KW HAS if no spacers are installed?

Fitment on the F80 seems to be pretty well documented at this point but can't find any answers to this particular set up. I saw that the APEX guide suggests that these dimensions won't have any clearance issues.

(I recognize I could easily jack up my car and try this myself... but my car is in storage while I'm finishing up a remote work trip... so the curiosity is eating at me while the anticipation builds!)

Should not have any issues clearing the strut. Depending on the tire model you may rub the front fender liner though.

Verdict is in… 10mm spacer required up front.

My exact setup:
  • KW HAS V2 - 1.5cm gap above front tires
  • Toyo R888r in 265/35/19
  • BMW 763M wheels (19x9et29)
  • 10mm spacer
  • (Stock camber plates, stock alignment)

This set up clears strut / spring perch - the 10mm spacer is needed.

This set up does NOT clear the spring perch without the spacer.

My purpose here is to document this - OEM wheels with R888r and KW HAS needs a spacer. I was unable to find this exact set up on the forum when searching over the last few weeks.

Perhaps a non R compound tire would clear, but it would be very very close. I have another set of 763M wheels with Michelin Pilot Sports, same sizes, I will update when I fit those up.

Don’t mean to duplicate anything, just documenting my findings.
