Arrow M3 Comp - MPE worth it or comp exhaust mods?

Hey All,

I have the F80 Comp, love the sound but want more of a motorsport tone!

- Is the MPE a full system or just a cat back box? (does it come with mid pipes?)

- Is it worth it or should I add some downpipes first maybe? - results similar at a fraction of the cost of MPE?

- With MPE is it worth doing the cold start delete? If so any Kent / London garages advised - also would a map later delete that?

Any info is appreciated

The MPE is not a full system. It is mainly the muffler that is titanium that gives it the amazing sound it produces.
It does not come with full mid pipes.
I find that the MPE is an amazing item and well worth it. MPE will not need cold start delete but if paired with catless downpipes, you will want to.

I would start off with the MPE and add mid pipes if you want to add more volume.

It should sound very clean with stock downpipes and midpipes.

Once you start bolting up different midpipes to the MPE, things get a little hazy but plenty of videos out there to get a sense of what you can expect

Please describe your preferred version of "Motorsport tone". Describe the aspects you like, and what is lacking.

We all have different tastes so you'll likely get a variety of suggestions until you narrow it down.

Extreme Powerhouse has a great comparison vid with 20 exhaust kits included.

This is pure Motorsport to me. But like TopJimmy said, every one is different. You should give an example of what sound you’re after. I find that generally true “Motorsport” notes don’t always work on the street - race cars have all sorts of rasp and drone, they sound awesome when wide open at the track but sound pretty terrible if you’re just gonna cruise in them.

I am personally not a fan of MPE paired with the traditional UEL design - it’s way too tinny for the UEL note. It makes sense tho cause MPE is literally an empty resonance chamber made of titanium (no sound deadening or muffling materials inside). This combo is the only MPE combo I’ve ever liked:

I'm sure you've researched, but I did AA mid pipe and stock ZCP exhaust and it sounds pretty good. Lot cheaper too.

If you got money to blow throw a single mid pipe in place to connect to MPE muffler

Like 700$ not super expensive

Arguably best sounding f80 setup imo
