Lease turn in: Selling my M4 sub, amp, etc.
Was hoping I could sell my 2015 M4 before having to turn it in next month, but I guess I negotiated too good of a deal, since the payoff seems to be more than I could reasonably get for the car. So that means I've got to part with the subwoofer and related equipment that I had installed immediately after I got the car. I live in South Florida and the install was actually done by Technic using his world famous wiring harness. My car has the HK audio system btw. Here's a link to Technic's install thread with plenty of pics: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1170130 Everything was bought by me new (selling as a complete package since I don't want to deal with trying to get rid of individual components piecemeal): -MusicarNW PnP Enclosure ($500 new) -JL Audio 10w3 ($300 new) -JL Audio XD500/3v2 amp ($500 new) -Audio Control LC2i ($100 new) -Technic PnP Wiring Harness ($100 new) As to the system, everything is as good as new, and as for the sound, it's night and day from the stock setup. Technic specifically recommended that I buy the XD500/3v2 amp since it has two extra channels to power the existing under seat woofers, while providing a mono channel to the sub, making it sound better all around. And it really thumps. I went to high school in the '90's and as douche-chilling as it is to think about now, I had four 12's in my car back then. This system 't isn't going to rattle the neighbor's windows down the street, but it definitely pounds if you crank it up - so much so that I've kept the EQ way down so as not to look like a douche if I happen to have the windows down. |

Did my lease turn this weekend so I had to take everything out. Pics of equipment removed below. NOTE - I'm an idiot and was hungover on Saturday when I was brought the car in, so of course I left everything to the last minute and couldn't manage to remove the Technic wiring harness from the side opposite of where the sub enclosure goes before the lease turn in appointment. Yeah, I'm a procrastinating moron. Anyhoo, I just looked on his site and a new one can be had for $50, so I guess not the end of the world: https://technicpnp.com/product/logic...sub-t-harness/
All of the other wiring is there, as well as obviously the MusicarNW enclosure, sub, amp, L2Ci, and amp rack: |
