+1 for Blackvue's 650GW-2CH

I've hardwired it to the fuse box versus going to the battery. I have my MagicPro set to 6hrs kill (parking mode) and set it up so that it shuts off when the battery voltage drops below 12V.

Installed it over the weekend...and it's been sitting well over 24hrs without being driven. Just started it up....no battery prompts. It's been good so far.

I opted for the Blackvue due to it's very clean/stealth look.

I would also love to see some sample videos and also maybe more pics of the front camera from inside and out. I like the BMW setup but just not sure if I want that giant camera up front.

Blackvue is an option if someone can figure out a SURE way to make sure there are no battery draw warnings. It seems that its a 50/50 split on people having battery issues and not even whne using a battery backup. I want to use motion detection for sure. I drive frequent short trips as well so that will make it worse on my car since it will be harder to keep the backup battery charged.

I was thinking the same thing; however, even if we wanted to get this in the U.S., it apparently isn't available yet.

Damn, did not even realize this was not avail in the U.S. I would rather get this then the Blackvue since its proven that it works with no battery issues.

It seems the Blackvue is great and I am considering it but the variance in people that have battery drain issues vs not is all over the map.

I think the BMW camera system is very good. It's a neat installation and does the job well. Best place to buy is direct from BMW. I got my installation done by BMW too. That way if there are problems you can go straight back to them.
