Cameras not turning on
My car recently started having this issue where when I back up, the cameras doesn’t turn on, the Birds Eye view is black, and the front side cameras also doesn’t respond. However sometimes I get lucky, it works and once it works, all the other cameras works for the rest of the time being when the car is on. After that, if I turn off the car and turn it back on, it goes back to not working. Was wondering anyone else had this issue and fixed?
- the shop checked, it’s not the backup camera, we swapped the camera from a dif 2018 f80, and it still doesn’t turn on. |

Note: the car was sitting in the garage for a month while I was on vacation, and the car was started 1 time mid way through the month. This issue started happening when I came back from the trip, however we scanned the car, there was no error code of any sorts

Let me know if you figure it out lol. I have the same random issue for my backup camera. BMW tried updating Idrive and even swapped the camera. Both didn’t do a thing. The only thing I can think of is a software issue. Mine is a 2019 so we’re both LCI.. not sure if it has anything to do with a conflict with Apple CarPlay being introduced.
My head unit was also updated by Kubax to the latest version when he did my Full screen Apple CarPlay. |

hmm interesting, i also updated to full screen apple carplay with bimmercode, not sure if anything has to do with that
