Oil Change

Can you change the oil on a 2018 M4 with just the front raised enough to get a drain pan under and put take out the drain plug.

I am wondering if the angle would throw off the oil measurement although I guess if you put the 6.5 litres in it should be fine no matter the angle of the oil pan.

Should be able to that’s how I have been doing it. Just measure how much oil your putting in. Lower the car first before turning it on.

The low side of the pan is where the drain plug is, so angle doesn’t matter much. After I drive my front wheels up my homemade 2X8 ramps and chock a wheel (in front and behind) I jack the center and then put a crib of 4 stacked 2x8s under each front tire. That gives perfect room to safely squeeze under without needing jackstands.

Trick is to let it drain a long time (like 10-15min) until you get single drips. That’s gets almost all out.
