This was a month ago. Two big dealers didn't have any waitlists for M2 (I have no idea why). One of them has 4 people on the list but required $2K deposit and a credit application. Others had more than 10 people on the list, each.

Geeeeeezzz.....that's crazy expensive.

Looks like I'll have to live with my current (or soon to be current when the boat from Germany finally arrives) 2016 M3..

Insane price, but they'll have more buyers than cars available. That I can promise. For $134K there are too many other options. Thats just my opinion though.

No, they are not. I've seen several on Rennlist, that are below that, and I'm speaking about cars with low mileage.
Well there are always cars that have been in accidents

No, better than that there always seems to be someone out there that thinks LEASE ASSUMPTION is the way to go. But then again common phrasing in the car business "there's an ass for every seat".

My point is, they probably already found those 300 buyers
Yeah my dealer has 5 ppl in line for a GTS and will probably get 1-2 tops. If people think this car is too expensive they were not their target demographic in the first place. Move along and buy your M4 or M2.

Low volume car like this won't depreciate. I'd take this GTS over a used Z8 at the same money.

I'm not buying one but glad the car made it to the US and offering my congrats to anyone who is lucky enough to purchase this car. Just buy an extra set of wheels and paint them silver or black LOL.

I was blown away when I found out the specs on the new 991.2. It's just amazing that a Carrera S can do that.

OK on a less joking note after my initial reply I am really not buying too much into the long-term value proposition as I believe there are much better return on investments for $135,000. So I doubt that the majority of customers who end up buying this car do it for investment purposes.

To me the much more relevant question is how much more of a superiorly performing car is the M4GTS in comparison to the regular M4? By the time you fully spec a stock M4 with all the factory performance goodies you are easily looking at a price tag of $95,000. For that you get carbon ceramic brakes performance exhaust and led steering wheel and pretty much every single bit of carbon fiber you can add on. So I am curious to know if you have an extra $40,000 left to spend for aftermarket parts would you be able to build an even better car than the M4 GTS? $40,000 buys a lot of suspension, tune, upgraded turbos, camber adjustment, wheels and tires etc

What's your intake (!) on that;-)
