► GT Performance's M4 Clubsport with 18″ APEX EC-7 Wheels

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

GT PERFORMANCE’S M4 CLUBSPORT WITH 18″ EC-7 WHEELS

For most enthusiasts, our common 18×10″ ET25 front, 18×11″ ET44 rear staggered fitment is most effective for both street and track duty BMW F8X chassis. Nicolas from GT Performance wanted a more aggressive race fitment for the front of the M4 Clubsport, running our 18×11″ ET25 wheel to fit 305s on all corners to maximize grip. After analyzing suspension type, ride height and tire brand it was determined a 12.5mm spacer up front was required to clear the Nitron NTR R3 suspension. The front setup also required -3.5 degrees of camber to clear the front fenders. The end result, one of the most aggressive M4 fitments we’ve come across. Nicolas confirms the aggressive fitment is perfect and the car handled exceptionally at a recent track day at Dijon-Prenois Circuit.

Like the Black rims, and the yellow graphic on the Perelli tires looks really cool. Nice color combo, it looks sharp

Garage List
out of sheer interest - is having a square set up better for grip than having a staggered setup?

if so, why do manufacturers (bmw too) offer staggered from the factory rather than having a square set up?

Depends on the car, the driver, and track type.

Some prefer staggered over square, but just going from stock staggered to square reduces some understeer, all other components (suspension, camber, etc.) being equal.

Serious business.. I'm sure the et 25 up front helps clear the brakes. This probably turns in like a boss

Basically suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, seats....software (and small bits to support the extra power).

Looks great, i usually find the M4 big and long, this one looks really good actually, some interior shots would be nice.
