what wax?
so I have been looking everywhere but I can't find a consensus for wax on the exterior paint and what protectant wipe (for the interior non leather parts) to use. I bought leatherique for my orange shakir leather, just need some advice for the wax and wipes for the rest of the car.
(thanks!) |

Waxing is dead imo. New age of sealants work so much better.

I use Renew Protect RP.08 every spring and autumn. I buff on a single coat, doubling up on the front, hood, roof, and trunk lid. I foam, rinse, and top with RP.11 as needed (every couple of weeks, or after a track event).
I constantly get asked how I keep the paint looking so great on all of my cars. These two products look amazing and offer protection unlike any other I have tried. I use Lexol on the interior. That stuff is gold! |

CarPro Inside for your interior
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019KNU8LI..._ieoVDbGS6Y0WD Wax shouldn't be your main protection layer. Use either a sealant or get a ceramic coating done. Then you can top it with a wax for added protection if you'd like. Collinite 845 is probably the best wax you can buy. Longer lasting than traditional carnuba waxes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JK2D06..._AgoVDb881PC7F |

If you want longevity from a sealant, I would go with Duragloss 601/111 combo. It looks great and it’s good for a year.
Coatings are long duration, but you either pay a bunch to have them installed or buy a bunch of products and tools and do it yourself. I am a sealant/wax guy at this point, because I like detailing my car. If I ever get bored of it, which is unlikely, I would go coating. They are much lower maintenance. |

Ceramic coats are great, but they are a bit pricey to have installed, and they do require some upkeep. If you're a wax man like myself, I would recommend Soft99's Fusso Coat. It comes in 2 variants (light and dark), and is a really great product for the money. This particular wax will give you super tight beading similar to a ceramic coat, and it is extremely durable. It is very glossy and durable as well. It leaves the paint feeling super slick, and it won't break the bank. Youtube has plenty of videos about it and you can find it on Amazon.com. For interiors, i use Sonax leather cleaner and conditioners for my maintenance cleaning. Leatherique is an awesome product, but I use that every year or so for a deep conditioning. For interior plastics, Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer is a decent product.

What? What upkeep are you even talking about. Ceramic coatings don't need to be reapplied every month or so like waxes or sealants and you wash a ceramic coated car the same as you would a non ceramic coated one.

Also depending on the wax/sealant used, traditional products can last many months. Its all in personal preference. I have ceramic coated vehicles as well as ones that I hand wax. Different strokes for different folks. |

Im afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Not maintaining your ceramic coating (in my experience) leads to decreased beading and longevity. To each their own though.

Coating Maintenance: 6. If using CarPro Reload as topper: use every 3-12 months, for special occasions or any time you like. Says IF, meaning not required. Also let's see you go 12 months on a non-coated car without applying wax or sealant and see if your paint is still protected. |
