That it was pay to play. Honestly, he didn't tell me anything I already didn't know (via this forum). He did say he ran into a couple of spun crank hubs, but none that were stock, and none that was dct. So that gave me a little hope.

- I had a technical question about Launch Control, she paged Dale to specifically get an answer
- She promised a certain time (since I said I would wait), and she delivered
- Customer waiting area was decent where you can order hot food, etc.
- Dale was pretty cool to talk to after the service was performed. Chatted about things like exhausts, tuning, and spun crank hubs, lol.
- Frankie has an SRT8...bad ass

I'll be going back. Thanks, all.

I bought my car there and Shea came highly recommended. I ended up going to Sterling since it is much closer to my house.

Have you guys make sure BMW of Fairfax didn't scratch your wheels? I have a friend with a E90 M3 and they scratched 3 of his wheels when he took it in for service. Needless to say he was furious.

I have a friend that always takes his 330i to ffx bmw. He noticed a scratch in one of his rims. Although we are not 100% sure it was from the dealer, he doesn't ever remember scratching a rim so we have our suspicions with ffx bmw.

I personally took my M3 there twice but haven't noticed any scratched rims (knock on wood).

This is why I always thoroughly inspect my car at the dealer as soon as I get my car back. If there is a problem I immediately go to the manager. BMW of Sterling scratched my wheel once and they eventually replaced it because of this.

Fun fact: went in to have my winters put on and they scratched each of my rears pretty badly. They paid to have them refinished but they came out looking like shit.

I’ll find out tomorrow when I go back in there. The mobile wheel repair guys were really good, but they said combo of the cold, wet weather and the depth of the gouges and it was difficult. Said it looks like a pry bar was used

I wanted my winters mounted on the OEM 437s and my Contis put on my new HRE's. Somewhere between taking the Contis off the 437s and the witners being put on the 437s they got damaged.

Gotcha. I know RRT has a touchless mounting system (and they Road Force balance). They're not cheap, but they also mounted my BBS's perfect.

Was thinking of taking it to ffx to replace a rear tire with a nail in it. Glad I read this thread.

Fairfax BMW once scratched mine years ago, they paid to repair as well. They don’t seem to mind though, the kid doing the tire swap looked like they got him from a Mr. Tire after being laid off. They didn’t seem to use the seasoned mechanics for such work.

I've taken my F80 and my wife's X1 to Fairfax BMW quite a few times and have had no issues so far. None have been for any wheel work but all the wheels were returned to me in the same condition as when I dropped it off lol.

Random question, do you have a cousin named Ellen?

FYI, it looks like Frankie will be out a while (on medical). Anybody have experience recently with other SA's? Prefer somebody who knows their stuff about the car or knows they don't know enough and won't bs you. Thanks in advance!
