It was great, I'm actually going again on June 15 because it's so addicting haha. It's ran really well for beginners and novices, first two outings you tail a instructor with mini discussions in between to talk about how to take lines, etc and after that you're on your own. Ride alongs if you want with instructors are also free just have to walk up and ask them.

We were just at Hockenheimring for tourist day and I am completely hooked; I immediately want to start getting better stuff for the car.

I'm still wondering if my MPE will pass inspection there.

blew sound 3 days in a row - MPE with BMS exhaust valve controller. To be fair, one of the sound violations was due to the controller coming loose at the control unit. But the other two were borderline violations and I was short shifting From 5 to 6 with valves closed.

Porsche guys have GPS controller that closes valves at turn five and opens it turns six, brilliant!

Seriously, I’ve never seen so many people blow sound before. It’s becoming a serious issue at Laguna. If you get the chance, sign up for one of the days at 100+dB, but they sell out fast.

Was this on a 90db day or a 92db day? I'll probably get a valve controller either way.

They are stated as 90dB days, but I didn’t see anybody getting flagged for anything below 92.

Weather for sure plays a role, usually a little cloud cover/fog in the morning and denser air.

Still love the track, but certainly would be fun to do one of the few remaining 100+ dB days

PSA, Heard someone got asked to leave as no dogs allowed in the paddock area. Might check with them before hand.

+1 for the weather. Those clouds and dense air really resonate the sound. I've seen folks on here with MPE pass sound and also not pass sound on a 92db day. Best bet would be valve controller and just upshift one gear through that section. You can always try WOT on your last lap of a session to see if you get flagged or not. But definitely don't let it deter you from going at all. As stated before, it truly is an amazing track.

My instructor had an M4 with the MPE, and he basicallly had to let off near the sound booth. Seemed to work from what I could tell, but again couldn't go for lap times or personal bests because of it

Thanks ya, I decided not to just in case. I saw some small purse type dogs, but I'm sure my golden would have been too excited and wild to hide away haha
