F80 zcp bolster protection
My good friend purchased protection for his heavily bolstered driver side seat. Is there a like product for F80 ZCP seats? If not, what is everyone doing other than the using quality leather maintenance products?
Any insight, direction, etc. is very much appreciated. Thank you! |

hit up alex and code in the easy entry, it slides the seat back when the door is opened.

Agreed. My friend who is 5'10 sat behind me and when I put him in the back seat and then I put the seat back into the locking position, it started to crush him and his toes.
As other people said, you can either code the car to have the seat moved back to help with this bolster issue OR you can get out in a semi-complicated matter. I did this when I had an FR-S and it was pretty low to the ground and there was not a coding option on that car. 1) Getting in you want to sit down on the seat with your legs hanging out, turn your body and then bring in 1 leg at a time across the door frame. 2) Getting out, open the door and turn and have your feet out first. Most importantly use your left hand to prop yourself up on the door frame and push up from it to get out of the car. Pushing up on the seat will cause premature wear. This gets getting used to but you'll do it pretty quickly. This kinda still works on other cars like a sedan and a SUV but you don't need to prop yourself up to get out.

Appreciate all the feedback. I am aware & have used like products but know they make specific "protection" alternatives for Porsche. Let me know if you come across anything.

all my cars do it and my kids legs are fine
also the distance the seat moves back can be programmed, it's not like the seat pushes all the way back into the rear seat, realistically its probably 3-4 inches of movement.
