Laguna Seca
Laguna Seca never disappoints!
Heading into the weekend and Nankang rear tires did not show up - fronts arrived on Monday - thank you FedEx. Had to manage with Yoko A052 with 8 or 9 sessions on them. Got 3 more sessions on Yoko Saturday morning by rotating - 5 sessions to go in the day. Enter Pirelli DH scrubs, pretty good for the remaining 5 sessions. DH were clearly not ideal with stock suspension, although -4.0 camber did help with tire wear. BBK was again awesome, but the grip of the DH was not a good match for stock spring rates. It was amazing fun chasing down GT3 and usually run with enough space to see my headlights, but when the GT3 left arm is broken...........at least Sunday was open passing. Still cant recover data and video, which sucks because it was pretty good. |

I went to the Nurburgring 4th of July weekend and ran both the Nordschleife and the GP track with my HellCat. Obviously these are watermarked proofs from the website and i haven't decided which ones I'll buy yet. There's probably 30 more to choose from. Unfortunately, i don't think there were any photographers on the GP track that day so no pics from there....... Still working on the vids!
Went back a week ago with the M4(Kimber) and ran both tracks again. M4 Nordeschleife and GP July 19, 2020 https://www.racetracker.de/event/mor...d733/287340798 HellCat Nordeschleife July 03, 2020 https://www.racetracker.de/event/mor...5bd/1178239727

exhaust valve controller works really well. No issues this last trip. If you have MPE, you better have some way to keep the valves closed. It sucks a little throttle response and maybe a little power, but it's the only way to clear sound. |

is this what you are using? https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-5...control-for-e/ are your valves close the whole time or only when you hit turn 5 as the previous reply stated?

I heard about this. I haven't been to laguna seca so I need to familiarize with the turns. i also heard about switching to efficient mode on that turn or lifting will do the trick?

I run valves closed the whole time. The hot set up Common on GT3 is GPS automated and closes at t5 and then re-opens the valves at t6. This is awesome but it’s pretty expensive. You can do this manually, but I wouldn’t recommend it. |
