Yikes, the clear coat on that spoiler is peeling pretty bad! that actually isn't the first instance of peeling clear coat on the OE CS spoiler that I've heard of... anyone else run into this?

Yes, my delaminating CS Gurney flap was replaced under warranty earlier this year.

There's really no rhyme or reason for the variations in pricing. It's not mileage based, or options based, or even regional. It's simply nonsensical.

Just an FYI. I ran a CarFax and Autocheck on this one: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

CarFax shows an accident with airbag deployment. Autocheck didn't show the accident.

Missing stock wheels. Makes one question mileage as well.

Makes sense, I usually browse CS's just to see the market and this one stood out as being too cheap, especially with the frozen color.

Edit: Did CarFax say where it was hit? looking at the photos it appears like the driver quarter has been re-worked (structural damage)

Yeah. A quick google search on the business revealed that it appears these guys were also running an exotic car rental company. Looks like its out of business now. My guess is that this car and others they were selling were used for that business. Just another red flag blowing in the wind on this one.

Really is buyer beware on these cars now going on 4 years old with most leased as new out of the gate. Heard on trusted info about one with a mileage blocker the other day. Caveat Emptor.

I am sure most have seen my thread but haven't posted it here, selling my Black 2018 BMW CS w/executive, under 5K miles, full coverage PPF and coating. No accidents, paint/body work, etc. I just paid off BMWFS so title will be in hand shortly and why I started advertising more. Just listed on CarGurus and Autotrader and will be getting more photos once it gets detailed (winter weather here has been delaying me as I won't drive it when there is treatment on the roads)

Yours is the CS to buy - 1 owner, stock, PPF, and documented. I prefer private party sales. Buying from a dealership requires more due diligence and is ultimately more risky due to less information and direct interaction with previous owner. Only benefit is cheap financing if needed.

If I may ask about the recovered passenger seat and what was the reason? Do you have any before and after pics?

GLWS!! Black is badass!

Ps - you should keep this car

Thank you. Purchased the car unseen and had it delivered straight to my detailer for PPF. Found a small (about an inch) cut on the bottom passenger seat cover. Had my local BMW dealership replace it with a brand new OEM seat cover. The cover just slips off and they slipped the new one on. Looks as it came from the factory minus the cut. I should be able to pull some photos from my conversations with BMW if the buyer wants the photos.

Found this one in NJ. 33k miles for $71k in SMB ext. See "damage" on the carfax, but not sure to what extent the damage was. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=621913469

The body gap between the front of the hood and the top of the bumper cover looks to have unevenness issues. I see a lot of F30/F80s that have had front end hits where just a quick perusal of that gap plus the hood to fender gaps on each side often reveals the repair. That hood gap all across the front of an F80 is an easy tell-all at times.

100% this, probably front end damage.

The flip side to this particular car is that it could be very minor damage in that just the front bumper cover was replaced and with some adjustment would fit properly. An in-person thorough inspection would be needed to verify. The dealer just lowered their price again today to $70,128. It's a high mileage CS too, one of the highest I've seen on the market. Someone should be able to buy this car in the mid-60s if they can verify the front end issues are minor and easily corrected.

Yes - one to lay eyes and hands on in person - could be a deal. Good car to track, daily or modify. You could do same with 5k mile $80k car but why spend the extra cash.

Tbh if you were to go the track or modify route I think it would be a waste to go for a CS. The bones of the regular cars are exactly the same and everything that makes a CS special will likely be replaced for even better aftermarket replacements. The CS is special because it’s so good in stock form, but you could easily make a regular F8X more fit for purpose as a track car. On the flip side tho, if someone wants the stock track experience but doesn’t want to throw around a 80k car, it could be a decent deal in the 60s. Would cost less to insure on track days as well.

Something like a one owner, stock, higher mileage (60K?) 2016 model...code: CS or GTS steering, CS LSD, CS dme tune (bm3 I guess), either ZCP or CS damping (if keeping the struts/shocks). Spend the huge saved $ on suspension and wheels/tires. Heck you even get full comfort access plus dual zone hvac in the deal.

Exactly! CS/GTS steering, DCT, and diff tuning are a must on any F8X that is out of warranty IMO. These cars should have came that way, and if they did I’d guarantee that they would have been praised much, much more highly. CS suspension tuning is also a must if you’re keeping stock suspension components, but a club sport suspension setup will easily be better at the cost of higher maintenance and losing edc.
