so here is mine.. i whacked a bit of copper grease on there to see where it was catching and as you can see its been catching on the bonnet...

that pipe looks way to high but its on as far as it can go on the turbo.

thinking i should remove and cut a small bit off the bottom and maybe a small bit off the top to get it to sit tighter?

tom @ eas what are your thoughts you must of fitted loads of these

Hmmm🤔 Yeah, there definitely some minor adjustments that need to be tweaked. A couple of those where your pics show the charge pipes barely touching a hose are similar to mine too, but the one pic that actually concerns me a little bit is actually your FRONT pipe in pic #4. That little flange should not be digging into that charge pipe at all. Just snapped another pic of mine for comparison.

SSR performance charge pipes fit really well, no issues with the stock airbox but you still need to adjust the rear mount for the engine cover for it to fit. The pipes look a bit blingy as well if you're going for the stealth look.

Do you have any pics of the install/fitment?

All silicone tubes seem to need tweaking to fit right, but it's SOOO worth it for no heat soak. I have Vargas tubes, same issues like ESS. I know it's scary to cut the ends on a $300 brand new set but that's what it takes. You need to look good and figure which end to trim, TMIC side or Turbo. If the tubes push up on the engine cover then trim the turbo side a half inch so it snugs down. If the tube is really jammed against the side engine bay insulation trim the tube ends on TMIC side. Just use a hose clamp tightened down on the tube as the cutting guide for your utility knife, then sharpie the ends black.

Alternatively you can check the install and make sure the tubes are pushed down HARD on the turbo outlet adapters and then clamped (need a buddy, clamp AFTER adapter is on turbo for tightest fit). On the TMIC side you could use a mechanic pick or small screwdriver to get the silicone tube up over the stopper rings on the OEM TMIC inlets. It's not the prettiest fit but it helps you figure how to tweak before cutting. The silicone stretches right back into shape so don't worry about dents or rings showing later.

I can second that my CTS charge pipes fit fine. They do touch in a few places but you have to spend the time to make sure they aren't touching but it can be done.

I was worried about the seal since they seem to not be as tight over the turbos as OEM, but I boost leak tested and it seemed fine.

Including fitting below the engine cover?

Correct, take a look and forgive my dirty engine bay. You can also remove the stickers on the chargepipe and go for a OEM look, which would lower the chances of a cop giving you a bullshit ticket after opening the hood.

Wow, that helps a lot. Thanks! I'm actually considering the CPs color matched to my car in YMB, and FTP seem to be one of the only ones who actually do spot-on color matching. SSR has a painted option but you have to choose from a variety of paints (of which there are a ton of them) but none of them is a dead match for YMB so rather than settle for *almost* YMB with the SSR pipes, I may as well get the real thing from FTP.

And I'm also pleased that the sticker can be removed. Thanks again for clearing all that up. It eases my mind about buying a big custom product like this from Taiwan!

Here are my ESS.
There may be very minor contact at these two points.

Am I failing to appreciate the significance here? To me, this doesn't appear to be an issue. I would consider these great firmest.
There was no tweaking to these hoses.

I think with any contact point even minor will wear down over time with all the engine movement.

My VTT tubes touch in a few spots. Aside from rub marks there seems to be no probs at all after a year. These things are 7 layer silicone with steel fibers between...ultra durable. Same with ESS, top shelf stuff.

Joining the question- saw Eventuri super pricey CPs.

Believe that heat soak issue is not a question here cause it's not metal part.

Someone tried?

CTS Turbo Charge Pipes also fit well. although I did have to raise the rear most nipple/grommet in
order for the engine cover to snap in properly but, that's standard protocol with any continuously
symmetrical inside diameter pipes.

CR Racing is exorbitantly priced! Maybe now that Eventuri's (C.F.) out they will (be forced to) get real but,
CR is so hard to contact, I don't believe they're that interested in sales outside of the Asian market.

Eventuri has the right idea. Both the upper as well as the lower connections are done with with Al. couplers
due to the inherent movement involved in thier application. Also, the C.F. used is a special heat resistant
formulation hence, why they're only available in a "Raw" finish.

Cheers!

I saw a simple solution to this in another post.

In reference to your second photo here, Have you tried loosening and then readjusting the connection points
to the IC. Knudging the Charge Pipes in tighter to the IC couplings will result in lowering them a bit.

Cheers!
