Supported Video-Codes

after successfully coding of video-in-motion, i realized that NBTEVO ID6 does not support the latest video-codecs such as HEVC H.265.
H.264/MPEG-4 AVC seems to be the end

Does anyone have a tip other than downgrading/converting the movie?
This is annoying but BMW will certainly not introduce that codec with a new swfl.

I’m sure I can find this info with a search but after you code video in motion how do you play things and what can you play?
It’s not through Apple CarPlay is it?

No, i don´t use Carply, i only connected a USB-stick.

Besides i found out that codec H.264 is the maximum and max. resolution for the 8,8" monitor ist 1280x480. But i figured out that encoding with 640x240 is sufficient and the filesize much smaller !
