Lost all even gears f80 m3 dct

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, after doing some hard driving on the highway, I got a drivetrain malfunction error and lost all even gears. I only have odd gears right now. In manual mode or auto doesn't matter, only 1,3,5, and 7. There is no rattling or clunky noises. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Are you running XHP Flash v1.1 in your DCT? This is known to cause that exact issue.

I had XHP stage 3 but now the trans is stock tune and still has the issue

Thats beyond me, I just know that DCT transmissions typically run odds and evens (ugh Squid Game) on separate clutches.

Did the issue begging when trans was stock or tuned? When did you take off the tune?

I would re-flash to XHP Stg3 v1.2 and see if gears come back. Then I would flash XHP to stock and check again.

This. I posted a while back when xHP v1.1 made me lose my even gears. Cleared codes with BimmerLink, then reflashed back to 1.0 as instructed by xHP, and luckily was okay. Currently running 1.2 and it's been fine as well.

A re-flash to any of the v1.2 maps should work fine again.
