Yeah I'm also just waiting on Bosch ones to get back in stock.

I got the word from Paul that he can tune for big injectors, gas or alcohol. If doing alcohol we should do HPFPs too.

BM3 currently shows aftermarket support for Spool and Nostrum in their drop-down box, and custom tuners can always use the "Original" slot if someone wants Dorch (or XDI someday?)...

I just installed some EU5 Injectors in my buddies Pure Stage 2+V2 Turbo car tuned by Bend Calibration and the new map started right up with 45% ethanol in tank. The car is equipped with Ecutek and a Bend ultimate filter kit as well. Fully flex; did a couple pulls on the various maps for him and logs looked mint. Drives super smooth and pulls nicely. Now time to turn it up in a couple weeks. The car was previously injector limited and looks like a decent amount of room now.

Anything else fueling wise besides EU5s?

Commander,
If your buddy is running fine at E45 do you think stock HPFPs would be maxed out if you take it to E80 and higher?

So I can learn, where do you look to see "if there's room" available in fueling?

The stock HPFP's only struggle in the midrange typically when pushing a lot of fuel flow and this car being a stock motor it won't be an issue since my buddy wants to keep the rods intact.

To see room there are logged parameters in Ecutek which my tuner has shared with me...and in respect I will keep those details private as it's one of the things I think that sets Ecutek along with Bend Calibration above the rest at the moment.

Another item to note, the maps that were changed on this car are not all available in BM3 through the map editor (Ian showed me remotely). I've heard a bunch have been tuned on BM3 but not sure how much adjustment has been required. About 100miles so far on the car since installing these injectors and no tune adjustment thus far with trims +/- 2%...right in line with stock.

The process was pretty simple after replacing the injectors I installed the new ecutek flash with all the new updates, coded the injectors with ISTA and then reset adaptations (not increment wheel). I expected more of a hassle to be honest.

Just clarifying here, so are you saying you installed the injectors, coded them, reset small mixture adaptations and didn't have your tune scaled for them or have any adjustments made specifically for the injectors yet and the car runs normal? That's great to hear if true, I also figured they'd be more of a hassle from what I've heard

You missed the part about the ecutek flash and map changes. Yes there were over 50 map changes that the folks over at Bend Calibration properly researched for the EU5 injectors. No changes after one flash and it fired right up and idled great.

Never heard of them, do they have a better product/reputation than Spool?

I'd venture that they're pretty equivalent, although they've focused on BMW's as their primary platform.

One of the main reasons I'm leaning in their direction though is that they were directly involved with Kratos and Halim in the EU5 and HPFP tuning process.

Wow that's a tight gap, how's the idle? I'm on a set of fresh SILZKBR8D8S @ .019 and it's stalling out on me occasionally. 80% of the time it's fine, but it'll stall sometimes. On an E50 tune.

The idle isn't bad at all. My tuner (BendCalibration) hasn't sounded the alarms so I assume everything is healthy.

The car has never stalled on me. Maybe that's weather or tune related? I'm located in Southern California where temperatures rarely go below 50F.

Im planning to do these EU5 Injectors on a custom E85 tune for Stock turbos on BM3. Do I just need to upload the Bend Calibrations custom E85 map then code the EU5 Injectors in ISTA and that's it? And also would the EU5 injectors benefit stock turbos on e85?

Yeah I would get the Bend tune flashed and then code the injectors with ISTA. That's what I did for my buddy when I installed his EU5's and coded the car. Be sure to reset adaptations. EU5's will benefit stock turbos since you'll be able to run higher ethanol contents and maintain the same loads as you would've been at around E50-E60 on max power tuning typically. The HPFP will still struggle in the midrange but you really don't want to be pushing that much torque on stock rods in the midrange anyways to where you would need an upgraded hpfp...or maybe you do and then I'd recommend the Dorch Lift Kit.
