Paperwork and stuff completed. So, the 2021 Macan GTS is ordered, although with COVID and what not, not 100% sure on the timing and delivery date but was told before December 2020 probably.

Now to wait.

PS: GSM texted me today. It is November 2020 if no delays.

Biggest news for me and I think we have spoken in the past is that Wifey is almost 5 months pregnant with our first baby girl.

Not too much - feeling about the same, thinking of getting an X3M or maybe skipping a car altogether ... but that'll depend on when borders open us again. A friend rents a premium car friday-sunday for $100 / month and gets all the points; kinda alluring ...

If I recall you had issues with this, which makes me even happier for you! I'm so glad you too get to experience the hell and heaven of parenting.

To be fair, it's heaven mostly. The hell bits just get in the way at times. Currently I'm daily giving up 4 kids for adoption, while still drooling over babies. There is no logic to this. I adore them, but for fucks sake, they're 8-13, they should learn never to talk to me between coffee mug 1-3.

Coffee mug 1-3 also happens when to be the time when all hell breaks lose and all plans gets eviscerated.

Give up coffee now. Do an evening drink, just learn how to start a day while someone pukes on you or asks hard questions and expects an answer. A real answer.

But for real, I'm so happy for you. Parenting is not easy or anything any of us want to do, we want to be the cool uncles basically. But when you've had a shitty (often literally) day, and you go to bed, and fall asleep exhausted, the last thing you remember before sleep takes over is that you're actually happy. Happy. Weirdly happy. Nothing that used to be big is that anymore. The smaller things come first

We've been building a funzie with the girls now for 3 years. A project car where they learn about the car parts and how they work, one they can drive on in a closed up circuit. Then came covid, and it's not like I'm taking that lightly since all the surgeries our older son needs are postponed until this passes, but the older siblings of his are something else.

"Hospital week number one starts in 14 days. This sunday we will all enjoy our last mask free day! Also, us girls now live in the basement, the boys still need you parents! Okay parents, we are doing this! Kids in school, we are layered up in the house too! Text us, never come near us! "

I asked the girls if they were serious.

"Oh mom, we love you and dad but it is clear we kids are smarter than you. You need to roll with this. You need to embrace our ability to keep the family safe. We can do this!".

Don't get me wrong. I still love them. They just didn't love their new quarters as much after they realized I cut their wlan a bit. Like a lot.

The purity in their hearts shines less now, and now they're still stuck in the basement. Cuz I'm stupid like that.

It's fairly hard to plan ahead currently, especially during COVID. My age group has gotten the short end of the stick multiple times already at this point.

Taking it day by day while having some clue of what you want to do has been my approach, so has my special someone. Though she has having harder than me so that sucks.

I think 3 year is probably a better choice primary because the the G80 won't be that different from the X3M.

They both have the same engine setup and same tranny setup. BMW doesn't have to tinker with the ECU and update the M-DCT iron out the kinks like they had to with the F8x.

I still kind of believe the M40i cars are the better ones compared to the M versions.

Now I'm thinking either X3M40i or .... X5 45e! Seems like they really did a nice job with it and the !/$ seems big - would be a better road trip machine

I'm sure you would drive both before deciding but BMW definitely did better with the baby M cars in the G chassis since they actually had to put some focus on it instead of just an engine change like the 330i to 340i in the F30.
