Not quite...

The way I see it, only (mostly) the outboard tips are functional with the valve open while only the inboard tips are functional with the valve closed.

So yes, all 4 tips functional. Just not all 4 at the same time

Good stuff. I wonder if they are going to come out with a center section. I wouldn't want to cut my factory exhaust. I can't wait for Stage 2 software.

As far as I can tell, most of them (MPE, Akra, Eseinman, AWE, Remus).

The Magnaflow seems built on the same principle as the Dinan one.

Yeah... you can expect this exhaust (valve-wise) to behave exactly like your OE exhaust. Modded or not.

They had done such a great job with taming the nasties of the N54 with the FFE, I hope that they have equal success with the S55. Unfortunatley based on what I've already heard, MPE and the Akra, it might be near impossible to make this I6T sound anything but what is. AS now makes a lot more sense from a marketing stand point than previously understood.. Hope I'm wrong. An yes, it's all subjective, I know...

Would love to hear a release of a sound video if available, oh Dinan!

i spoke with a Dinan dealer this morning and they're set to be released tomorrow. Hopefully mine should be on with Stage 1 tune by this weekend. I'll of course post vids and a review once it's all up.
