Thanks!

I've been to Heidelburg twice before, once in 1987 and again in 2011 and saw the castle both times. This time it will just be a lodging city to attend the GP, but I'll bet it will be a much different city that weekend! We're really looking forward to this as it will be our first European Grand Prix. We've also been to the Gran Prix of Montreal twice and the US Grand Prix last year.

That's awesome. I hope you have a great time. I would say out of the two F1 races I've been to (Spa and Hockenheim) I prefer the German GP.

It confirms your pickup date and time and contains your production number. If you don't have this yet, contact your CA and have him forward that e-mail. Having your confirmation in writing allows you to make your airline and hotel reservations, because BMW is essentially guaranteeing that your car will be ready at the specified date and time.

This letter also contains instructions on making a reservation for a factory tour. You have to contact BMW Welt at the supplied e-mail address and request the reservation. You will also have to supply your production number. Do that as soon as you have your confirmed delivery date and time, and the production number in order to secure a spot.

Once you have your production number, you can plug it into the BMW Tracking Website. You have to have a ConnectedDrive account or create a new one. Complete instructions can be found in my thread here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1498620.

Now is also the time to start nailing down your financing. May incentives expire today, June incentives should be available by the end of next week.
Thank you for your time and considered response. I've already locked in the price and placed a deposit at the beginning of last month, the incentives seemed to be very favourable at that time plus I was able to avail of an additional promotion from my wife's work.

I will call my CA this week to obtain this packet, during the ordering process he checked with BMW to ensure the July 14th date was available/possible as I'm very locked on times due to work.

Not to be a downer, but most of the incentives are not combinable with ED (like the lease cash, USAA, etc). The only one that is combinable is the BMWCCA rebate.

If you're not a CCA member, you can now join with a 3 year membership (for $134) and they waive the 1 year waiting period requirement. Easy way to make $366

Hmm, I hope not. I've a price agreed and deposit paid with a dealer receipt and signature.

Also, cheers for the CCA pointer. I just got my membership card in the mail last week.

Well, if you have an agreed upon price they should hold to it. They should know that incentives are not eligible with ED. If that signed price mentions incentives, or you factored that into your payments I would be calling them ASAP to see what they are going to do.

Better to straighten this out now than when you are signing final paperwork two weeks before you leave.

I was just trawling through Instagram and happened to see the M Drift Experience offered in Maisach. It's going to be on my route from Munich and I was wondering; 1 Has anyone done this. 2 Is there a chance to blag a discount on this as I'm on ED?

Just a quick update with a few images from the trip. Any nerves about the colour and interior selection were quickly banished!

I didn't take my car on it, I booked a ring taxi M3 and it was the best decision I could have made. What an experience!
