LRG M3 CS w/ Satin Black BBS FI-R
had these 19" FI-R's on my M2 and wanted to see how they'd look on the M3 in this color. i may try to see how the 763M w/ the 20" rear will look on the M2 over the weekend. Front tire is a 265/30R19 while rear is 285/35R19. IMO this is one of those rare cases where the OEM wheels actually look better - probably because of the wheel gap up front, and also the 20" OEM out back. Maybe i can move the taller tire from the OEM 255/35R19 fronts over to the BBS wheel to see if it improves the look.
and the OE setup for comparison and how the wheels looked on the M2 |

It comes down to ride height and proper tire size. Once you have that dialed in FI-R's are tough to beat. These are 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 which match OE ZCP 666m diatemeters.

i forgot that i sized the front tires down on these wheels cuz i was rubbing when diving into corners at the track with the lowered m2. i don't plan to modify this car since it's going to be my company car and pull some family duty, so if i keep the wheels on, I'll just size up the tires.

FI-Rs are the best wheels made on Earth today. Comparing it to the factory wheels is like comparing a 435i to the F82. Same fundamental elements, but completely different class - tech, stiffness+weight, pricing, assembly, heritage.

the 763M is also a forged light weight wheel. not as light as the BBS, but still very light compared to most wheels. the bbs are about 3# lighter per wheel compared to the 763M. i like both, but since my fir are 19s, i think the 763M looks better with a small weight penalty. ultimately I'll probably put track tires on the bbs and make these a dedicated track wheel

It sucks that we don't have standardized values to measure wheel stiffness/strength, but I put my trust (and wallet) in BBS's R&D and investment in motorsport to put out a wheel that's unequaled - esp with the FI-Rs being their current flagship wheels. FI-Rs look crazy in person in all the right ways.
