Looks like its gone for the F82 on the website as well.
Also noticed yesterday that the M6 Gran Coupe, you are no longer able to build it with manual and Competition package together. You have to have one or the other. I really hope it is a mistake on the website, otherwise will be impossible to find a used comp, manual M6 gran coupe in the future (its already almost impossible, but if they stopped making them, that really sucks). Also will be impossible to find an m4 or m3 with carbon ceramics in the future.

Dosen't make any sense that CCB is not for either F80 or F82 with upcoming production of the CS variants. Highly doubt CCB option take was so high that parts are limited to the CS models. As I mentioned before BMW M Driving Experience Germany doesn't option the F80/F82 for their track vehicles with CCB as the driving experience is a division of BMW M GmbH.

Just heard about this from my dealer yesterday (2/15)...........and this is the reason my car has not been in production since ordering it September-2017. Unbelievable.
My dealer said that BMW expects to put M4 orders with CCB's back into production middle of the year (June/July)......i'm not holding much hope in that given what has already transpired. |

Anyone have legit information to update on this issue?
It's one thing if it's not in the configurator due to delays and delaying customer spec cars for 2-3 months; it's a completely different thing if it's not able to be selected through the ordering system.

Cant option carbon ceramics?
Hello,
I'm planning on getting a 2018 M3 comp pack soon and on the configurator it doesnt let you option CCB? If anyone has input on this it I'd appreciate it, thanks! Also I am wondering if I should get them as this car will be a daily driver for 2 years in Chicago IL. |

In my opinion it makes absolutely no sense to get ceramic brakes on a daily, the steel brakes are amazing and much much cheaper to replace however I don't think you will wear out the pads in 2 years.

If just DD than you would be fine. Even if you get some track time the steel brakes will do just fine. The only real change needed will be racing pads.
The initial bite for CCBs during first application in the cold can be scary but that just requires modulation to the brakes (kind of getting them ready) and a little getting use to Overall - not a big deal. If you still want them for the look consider BBK
