M3 sitting at Bremerhaven for 7+ days, no ship to NY for another 6+ days

I'm getting nervous. My M3 finished production on July 3 and has been sitting at the port in Bremerhaven since July 11 awaiting a vessel. I've scoured shipping schedules since the 11th but nothing has shipped from Bremerhaven to Newark/New York since July 4 when FIVE WW ships left in a single day.

Between WW, NYK, Arc, K-Line, etc., I have found ZERO ships that have left Bremerhaven to Newark/NY since July 10 (day before my car arrived). Meanwhile, the next ship out is WW Elektra on July 23 arriving into NY on Aug 3.

Does anyone possibly have insight as to why a car would be sitting at the port for what will amount to 12+ days going to NY? I realize the possibilities are endless...

Oddly enough, I could have SWORN I saw a WW shipping schedule for a ship leaving Bremerhaven to NY on July 18th but I can't seem to find it anymore...

Ugh... beyond frustrated... First I find my car will have a STEEL driveshaft and now this...

I REALLY hope I'm reading the shipping schedules wrong

Update: No issue with BMWFS, I'm good till Aug 31... but there have been no ships from Bremerhaven to NY from July 10 to July 24.

If you applied to an East coast dealer, the lock is good for 60 days from the end of the month you applied. So in your case the lock will expire August 31st.

Really? That’s great news if this info is accurate. Yes, I applied and am purchasing from a dealership in NY.

Yeah as long as BMWFS has a credit app on file as of then you are good.

This may sound stupid but have you called and talked to a customer service representative? They can tell you more accurate information such as what boat your car is assigned to etc.

Yes, of course. It's literally been sitting in "At the Port, awaiting vessel assignment" since July 11. I call in 2x/day and it's still in that status. I'm just surprised it's been sitting there for so long but makes sense if there has been zero shipping vessels scheduled to NY from July 10 to 23.... huge gap!

Ugh man I feel your pain. My 340i was built in South Africa and the voyage took 44 days to NY on the water! Even then, it only sat at the port for 4 days before its ship left. I get that the west coast cars like yours tend to sit at port longer but east coast cars usually split in a handful of days. Odd.

Yes. Daily. They’re giving me updates about 1-2 days ahead of what I see in MyGarage.

Interesting. I dropped off my car in Paris on 6/25 and it was at the port around the same time as yours, however I got on a ship that left on 7/7, and was at the port since 7/3 or earlier (7/3 was the first day I called to inquire)...but mine is going to West Coast. When I called on 7/6 they said it hadn't been assigned, then when I called on the 9th it was assigned and already en route, so there could be a slight delay between the Genius info and reality.

I am not sure when mine got to the port, but it was sitting for at least a few days, I wouldn't worry unless it gets until mid-next week.

There were ships leaving every 2-3 days to NY prior to July 4. Next ship after that wasn't till July 10 (day before my car arrived at the port). There have been zero ships leaving to NY since July 10. Next ship to NY is Elektra on July 23 but that just got bumped to departing on July 24... Fun stuff...

Meanwhile, I'm glad I'm keeping my June promo lock and that I got rid of 340i lease but taking an Uber everywhere is getting old fast.

Update: Looks like WW Elektra is leaving Bremerhaven on July 24 to arrive in Newark/New York on August 4. Hope my car makes it onto that vessel. There have been NO SHIPS from Bremerhaven to NY since July 10.... 14 days!!!

For your guide, i dropped my car off in zurich july 9th and just got word from my NJ CA that it's on the Morning Christina which is due to leave Bremerhaven today. Map shows it's still docked. So 16 days from drop off zurich to leaving port.
