ETA in Halifax is Aug 8th. Now I need to figure out ETA for my dealer in NJ!

I am. It hit a snag before getting to Southampton. It floated around for 3 days. Originally it was scheduled for NY on 8/8 and Genius even told me 8/7 at some point.

I'm hopping to get it by the 21st. I'm in greater Boston so I think that's doable. Mine is an ED car though, so it might take a little extra time. Not sure.

Yeah saw it floating around for a while! At least it appears to be in open waters and pointed towards our shores now! Mine was ED too - dropped off in Zurich july 9th.

Don't get too excited. My ED I dropped off on June 12th, got to port in LA on July 20. I still don't have it. Hopeful to get it this week.

Yikes did they give any color for port delay?

Hopefully it's smoother in NJ this month. Ship is just off Halifax coast and on schedule for arrival there tomorrow so that's good.

FYI, dates got pulled in by a day. Now it's NYC on 8/10. It's arriving at Halifax today, one day ahead of schedule. I guess it makes up a little for the two days lost at Southampton.

No, other than it's arriving in Reno, so pretty limited on trucks in that direction. My daughter just gave me an update though! She was driving to school today on the highway and was behind a car hauler with my car on it! Looks like delivery on my birthday Saturday!

Looks like it just docked at Newark, NJ!! So 16 days from Bremerhaven to NJ.

I guess my car is trying to clear customs right now, because BMWNA contacted my dealer about info so it could clear. That's pretty quick, considering it docked at 5AM today.

EDIT: Awesome. Customs voided me as importer for some reason. Apparently having previously done ED caused it somehow. So now I have to submit a government for to hopefully clear that up, but the link to the form is bad. So I cannot fill out the form. On the phone waiting for someone at customs to answer. Grrr.

I am! Live in Connecticut dealer in westchester. That’s pretty quick - I called bmw genius they told me cars were still on the ship - I’m hoping to take delivery early next week! Keep us updated on yours - red tape bs - you’ll get thru it

Update: Customs could not help at all. Turns out their dumb link doesn't work with Chrome or iOS. A coworker tried Explorer and finally got the form. It's got all sorts of questions that wasn't 100% sure how to answer, and I'm not about to give Homeland Security bad info, so I called BMWNA ED and gave them the riot act. Basically, WTF?!, why am I having to bail you guys out because of some government problem? You fill the stupid form out.

Of course, the woman was out for the afternoon, so I had to say this to a back-up person who seemed even more clueless. No progress was made on Friday. My dealer got back from vacation today and was appalled and will call BMWNA ED first thing on Monday and try to sort all this out. This probably cost me 3-4 days of delay in getting my car, to say nothing of the hours spent while at work trying to sort this out to no avail.

Yeah, not happy. We'll see what happens on Monday.

I'd like to think other progress is being done in parallel while this is going on, but I'm not holding my breath.

This is not your problem. I'd throw it right back at the dealer and BMWNA, and refuse to make any more lease payments until it is resolved.

Well, I just got an email from BMWNA ED that they already submitted the appropriate forms on my behalf so we should be all set. We'll see, but at least they owned it and took care of the form. Hopefully this was all just a minor hiccup in terms of delivery time.

Good to hear. Genius told me mine arrived at vpc yesterday the 14th and should leave there 17th to arrive at nj dealer 18th assuming no hiccups.

Cool. I just called Genius and was told the exact same thing!

I'm going to be stalking the dealership this Saturday. lol
