MP HAS cosmetic or performance?

Is the mp has purely a cosmetic upgrade in lowering the car or does it firm up the ride/ reduce body roll?

Big price to pay to simply lower it. But if there is more value in better handling i could swallow it.

OP also note, there's a V1 and V2 though I'm not sure what the difference is either.

ehh the difference in handling on the road is probably moot since the ride will be a bit rougher. true trackrats got coilovers and camber plates. so if you don't track...probably just cosmetic with a bit better "butt" handling.

Only on KW HAS...
Different spring rates and different smaller perch on V2 due clearance issues.

Both.

Overall handling and ride improved after install. Of course, that was also after the istep was updated to the newest version at the time which already had some improvements in that software update.

+1 to what Jockey said

I had the newest software already and ride improved after. Less roll, a little more stiff in the beginning until it broke in (or I got used to it), feels lower and subtly rotates better. Not a huge performance gain by any means, but I like the ride better now.

I’ll simply quote what I posted in the other thread:

By lowering the center of gravity, the MP-HAS reduces the amount of weight transfer during cornering which increases total grip. Further, the MP-HAS allows the car to be corner balanced which gives a better balance between left and right hand turns.

Same principle applies regarding weight transfer. However, since simple lowering springs are not adjustable, it is not possible to corner balance.

^This and I was always leary of random lowering springs and the damage they might due to the OEM shocks.
