High Beam Assistance

New purchase - 2014 F80.
Does not switch to high beam when High Beam Assistance is activated.
I’ve tried this in many situations over the last week and whilst the mode is active, it has not yet used high beam at all.
My e92 would auto adjust in and out of high beam quite nicely.
Anyone know if this a common problem with early F80?

Has it been lowered at all? Sometimes needs a reset of the level sensor I've read.

Garage List
Mine does work, but it only works when it's pretty dark(poor/no street lights) and you are going pretty fast, like 80 on road with bad/little street lights.

Check the camera/sensors on the windscreen and rear-view mirror are clean/unobstructed, I think it may use them to determine when to activate.

I drove in the country this weekend and tried it out - it's got to be quite dark for it to work. Street lamps and it would cut to low beam. Works amazingly well, it blanks out just a section of the light based on the approaching traffic. No one flashed me at all and it lit up the road brilliantly.

thanks. I like that blanking idea. The dealership updated my iSTep load to 2021 and tested the lights in their chamber and said it was all ok - so I think I have it fixed.
