The F8X God (Albert Biermann)
Here is Albert Biermann presentation on the F8X:
Its a old video but im sure many new F8X owners have not seen it. The F8X was the last project Albert Biermann did before moving to Hyundai! Enjoy him highlighting why the F8X is so damn amazing! I'm sure the G8X would have been a lot better with him still in charge of M division! |

Hyundai and Beirmann are doing better things than the BMW M division right now... they are actually focused on the fun and excitement of driving rather than just chasing lap times.
Veloster N gets a DCT... BMW M3 gets an automatic. lol |

I've posted these vids before as I'm a huge Biermann fan.
If you look beneath its surface, the g8x is really an incremental evolution of Biermann's F8X from chassis bracing, sub-frame design, suspension work powered by the same I6 FI fundamentals. This is why M sales and marketing HAD TO move toward a rather social media levered front grill treatment to divert attn away from the fact that they've made no leaps, like they did from the F9X to F8X, along the *engineering* front. Isn't this what real M fans like Biermann care about? So we'll never find out what the G8X could've become if Biermann never moved to Seoul. I'd hazard a guess we'd have an upgraded M-DCT II (how cool would that be), no weight gain (or loss) and a more innovative e-diff/MDM/sus setup with money left over (A Heisman for the ms piggy loving design side of the house). At day's end, BMW like any other corporation, has finite resources with a fiduciary duty to its shareholders. As such, BMW's best and brightest are assigned to the letter I, not M, for the foreseeable future. This b-decision always above Biermann's pay grade = One way b-class ticket to Incheon.
