f80 burning lots of oil

Got a set of pure turbos, 8000 highway miles on them. Not much racing involved.

Every 300 miles I have to add 1L of oil.
No leaks underneath the car and it’s stored in a heated indoor environment.

The car doesn’t consistently smoke, but will give off random clouds while driving normally. The car doesn’t smoke when full throttle mid pull etc. it will sometimes smoke on deceleration and is only getting worse everytime I drive it.

I just let the car sit for 1 month and started it up for it to smoke out the parking lot but then stopped shortly after. Took it for a drive and was fine for 20 minutes, then Started giving off big plumes of smoke randomly

Turbos? Valve stem seals? Or extremely blow by?

The issue started while I took the car on a 3500 mile road trip. And is only getting worse.

The mechanic I dealt with has ghosted me, and will not look at the turbos when taken in. He says it’s in my head and they cannot re produce it. I do have video proof as well.

Look forward to seeing your thoughts and opinions.

hmm, maybe try e getting a catch can to see if it reduces the problem. or take it to a different and have them take the downpipes off to inspect the turbine side of the turbos to see if there is a lot of oil

Start with a compression test to see if the motor itself is healthy. If that is fine, then check the turbos for shaft play.

I booked in for tuesday to get the downpipe removed. Even though my pure turbos are out of warranty, they will gladly fix them for me since it just ran out.

Any chances this can be a pcv/ccv issue? or would it have the dreaded whine

to mention also, when the car is running and you remove the oil cap it seems like there is built up pressure or suction. is that normal? no smoke comes from inside the oil fill.

Compression was healthy, wasnt done too long ago. gladly makes 650 whp without issue on the ecutek maps. was on the dyno for a update/retune after it started smoking before my mechanic disapeared.

small update, i drove the car around for a hour. When opening the oil fill cap there was a decent amount of suction. Im assuming thats a failed pcv / ccv? it caused a change in rpm.

I have ps2 turbos. No major leaks, just changed o-ring on the turbo that was leaking. Fix the leak but still burning 1 quart every 1500 miles.
