CRUISE CONTROL & BSM Issues

Installed the MP V2 steering wheel & CF trim piece a few weeks back and the following just started...

- Cruise Control Malfunction (60% of the time at startup)

- BSM malfunction. I shut it off and it's not a major issue but would like to get it sorted out.

Any guidance or insight is very much appreciated!!

Maybe a connection came loose or you have a pinched wire. You should recheck your install. Make sure the wires are tucked away correctly. If you have a scan tool, check the error. That might give you a better idea of where to look.

I had issues with a couple of my buttons not working correctly and the dealership found that they had been damaged and then taped back up from a previous steering wheel install. There are wires right where the airbag release clips are and they can easily get damaged if the screwdriver or whatever tool is used slips off the clip. Hopefully you get it sorted out easily.

No, I have not been able to sort it out. I would welcome any and all input though.

Have you had anyone else look at it? Independent or dealership?

I've done a lot of installing & uninstalling the steering wheels on my cars and it's quite a quick job after you've done once, I'd suggest redoing it (& checking the wires in the right places) to see if it helps.
