Considering a left over 2017 M3 instead of an M2 Competition

Im having somewhat of the same issue. Do I buy a gently used F80 or go with a new, euro delivery, M2C. Can't really go wrong, and that's the problem

I just traded my 2017 m2 in for an 18zpc. No regrets. I prefer the m3 in literally all aspects. That being said, the m2 was a fun car, but the n55 needs a tune and sport cat to feel quick.

An M3 with the Ultimate Package in Canada is essentially a fully loaded car with all options included except for the carbon ceramic brakes. The MSRP would run around CDN$100K.

The M2 is a lower level car, for example, heads up display and leather dash that you get with the Ultimate Pkg are not offered in the 2'er. If you can get this for a good discount, I'd take it over the M2 any day.

There are other options not included in the Ultimate package:

• CF interior trim
• Speed limit info
• DCT
• CCB (that you already mentioned)

I think it is also important to point out the that the ultimate package also includes "non-conventional" options, such as:

• MPE
• MP CF mirror caps
• MP CF front splitters
• MP CF diffuser
• MP CF rear spoiler
• MP Front lip
• MP Side sill extensions (M4 only)
• Metallic paint and a selection of individual colours

There were some ultimate packages without full leather. Just double check that so you dont miss out on that.

The ultimate package includes everything you’ve listed but the carbon ceramic brakes. I paid $80k for a new 2017 Austin yellow, with the black extended merino leather. The other choice was white with shakira orange, but I don’t like white cars, so I went with the Austin yellow. Warranty started Jan 2, 2018, so I lose almost a year, but given I tend to put on 25k km/yr, the loss of the year s not a big deal.

Not sure I follow you. As far as I know, the ultimate package does NOT include speed limit info ($350), the CF interior trim ($500) and DCT ($3900).

There is a charge for all those items, but they don’t sell the package without them. The carbon ceramics were not included in either of the two 2017 cars they have, or the 2018.

Not true. The cars you saw had these items because the dealer ordered them that way. I saw an ultimate package with the Aluminum trim at my dealer and there is a forum member here that was pissed because he did not have the speed limit info option on his ultimate pack (he did not realize he had to order it separately).
