F-Type vs M4

Hello Friends!

Edited:

Some people wanted me to come back and tell about my feelings for the F-Type after driving it little more, this is for you!

The gearbox is crazy, smooth and really fast, even though it's just a single clutch. The exhaust sound is fantastic, the steering is good but a little to light, it is electric A little more resistant in dynamic mode. Springs and handling are fantastic! Reminds me of my old m3 e46 īs to be honest in many ways, but more comfortable and more modern in electronics etc. I am not sure I had taken this before an m4 (if I had not already owned an m4), perhaps because I appreciate the odd design and that it is not mistaken as a discreet everyday car that is behind every corner, which is the case in the 4 & 3 series. I don't want to be so discreet, I want a car that feels, sounds and behaves like a sports car, without necessarily throwing at it a damn bunch of parts to get it sporty. If it was against this and a neatly equipped m4 so i had fucked chosen the f-type with the equipment and the combination i have. Something else that is very positive is also that the f-type gets its HP down on the ground, this was unfortunately not the case with m3 / m4 (without competition), as we all know! Mine is certainly AWD and 295 (stock) on the back so maybe it is a bit unfair: P

I bet the AWD is awesome.
The F-type is just sexy out of the box. I like it and my wife still wants one. Someday...

The weight surprises me in fact. It does not feel heavy, it may be because the steering I wrote above is a little too easy. Car feels planted anyway.

Single clutch?

Doesn’t the F-Type have a standard 8-speed automatic?

It's certainly a gorgeous car. Sounds great too... Unlike the F8x

F Type is a ZF 8 speed true automatic (torque converter). It is slightly slower than the dct but the best auto in the business (what BMW is using as well).

I deliberated for a very long time to nearly DEATH about trading in M4 for the f-type R awd. Driving it definitely felt "exclusive", but it also felt slower than my M4 (stg 1), especially on highway pulls. The only thing it did well for me was get off the line with grip. But I felt I could still accelerate faster overall in the M. Driving dynamics was also better in M. F-type was also much quieter in dynamic mode than my M (although I have a Remus full catback), was expecting more sound. So I left the dealer and stuck with it. Tho everytime I see an F-type on the road I'm just like daymmm looks amazing lol

I know nothing about the v8, all i know is that most people are happy with v6s. This car does not brake any records in any way, but noise from stock v6s is amazing wheen compating to other modern carīs. And like you say, the design, i mean its unbeatble for the price! M4 was more race oriented, no doubt about it.
