Was this a shop / careless ? I mean - it's a gorgeous underhood element, any good tech should take some reasonable care not to damage the brace. It's not just "under the hood".
One of the things that has always really impressed me about great Porsche mechanics, underhood, they treat the cars with the same care as they do the exterior of the car. |

Thanks for all the replies! I have no idea how this happened, was in for the oil change. Went to the detailed and he told me it can be polished!

I know dick; but I have to cringe I drop my car off to service and some 17 yr old ren-a-valet takes my car around a course tight enough for a go kart |

My local dealer put up a Michelin banner against the go-kart width entry wall to cover all the scrapes from customer vehicles. |

Are YOU serious? Doesn't matter what or where damage is damage and OP needs to be compensated for it. I'd fully expect my car to be returned in the same condition it was dropped off.

Shit happens...if you go in there demanding a new strut brace, which cost in the thousands if I remember correctly, you'll get laughed out of the place. Reasonable attempts to buff it out is the remedy.

That looks like a total loss to me 🤨
Seriously, I agree with the previous poster; the dealer is going to tell you to go kick rocks if you ask for a new brace, even if you where driving a Rolls Royce. Chuck it up to wear and tear, put a shiny ///M sticker over it and move on. |
