The GTS is an amazing deal right now
GTS is an unbelievable bargain at current prices. I feel like they are basically giving them away. I remember when people laughed when I said used low mileage testarossas would be worth 100k+ back in 2010 when low mileage examples were selling for $35k or when the F40 had dropped to less than $200k. Hang on to your GTS cars folks. People will look back in history with regret as BMW will not be bringing these track cars back to America for a long time. Low mileage ones especially in SBM will be worth somewhere between $175-$200k+ easily.

Such an incredible track tool. If you understand how to set it up for particular tracks it really rewards. Better driver seat with harness and camber plates are pretty much the only "need to do". Power is just fine at stock levels. Even if the GTS were sitting at a $200k value right now, I would not sell. I do not cross shop to other brands though.

I got my GTS for track use only. It does very very well hauling itself around. It is heavy but if you know how to handle it and use it correctly it is an awesome car. No regrets.

Looks like there will not be any left soon.
Only 10 for sale on cars.com for the whole country. Cheapest ones at $80,000 now... most over $85,000. Still a bargain at any of those prices... |

I’m sure all of them are willing to negotiate. This is a sub $80k right now. Anything above $80k and they are collecting dust on dealer lots. Last edited by M3_WC; 08-19-2019 at 11:15 AM.. |

Sorry about that...Thought one penny did not matter much... $500 may be... What is noticeable is that we went from around 20 on Cars.com (or Autotrader) last month to around 10 today... There is a trend. Congrats to the ones who benefited from those deals! |

The ones that are for 79,9 have been for sale forever. Wrong wheels on one and the other... i'm not sure why it's still for sale.

Cargurus is showing 4 cars around $80k, and having watched the supply slowly dry up with summer sports car buying season, I would expect $80k be the lower bound for the GTS until the G82 M4 hits the showrooms. Expecting the M4 Competition to challenge some GTS specs, S58 looks to be a beast. |

At least 5 GTS have sold in the last 30 days well above 80k in the $85-90+ range. The ones I can remember are Morristown BMW had one for $89k that was then raised to $99k and sold. Another one in Tennessee. Another one in Missouri. All low miles (<1,000) and sold well above $80k. |

On your assertion that it's a collector car, I don't think I'd bet against you in the future, but it's certainly not valued like a collector car today. And if I could be really honest with you, I kind of hope that it doesn't - having a 'future collector' car attracts a special kind of bullshit and a type of insufferable owner that I don't appreciate. People on this sub forum are more concerned with driving the piss out of the cars and enjoying them to the fullest, which I like a lot better. |

The F82 M4 GTS has a water injected S55, and ~804 units in its release. I love my GTS, but I know it's just a F82 CS(which they're going to produce a few thousand of) with water injection, a factory cage, and $8k in billet knuckles and KW coilovers. In my opinion BMW really messed up by giving the F82 CS the same hood/interior as the GTS. They also messed up by planning on 700 units, and then bumping it to 800 units. That being said, if they had limited it to 400-500 units and the GTS stayed above $100k I'm sure I'd be in a GT4 instead Glad I have a GTS, regardless of future value. |

Have you driven the CS to compare? Not sure how someone who owns a GTS can say a GTS is just a CS with a few "minor" upgrades. GTS feels, handles and sounds very different than a CS. The experience is much more raw. GTS also weighs 400+ lbs less than a CS. Even at $100K, it would be a no brainer for me comparing the GTS vs GT4. Be interesting to revisit this post in 5-7 years to see what has changed. |

I'm of the opinion that if you buy a car and you want to just leave it sitting in your garage, then that's your choice. I don't judge others for driving their cars too much or too little. Just because a car is considered a collector, doesn't mean you can't drive yours. To each their own ... |

Also, fuck I wish the GTS weighed 400lbs less than the CS. A ~3100lb GTS would have made for some very interesting GTS vs GT3 comparisons. I won't be gutting my GTS, but if there was a $10k option to shave 400lbs from the factory, I'd pay for it in a heartbeat. The future will be interesting. I don't think the F82 GTS is going to crash like a regular M4, and frankly I'm not worried about it. My only concern is actually not crashing it on a track. |

People keep complaining that 700 was too many for the GTS. If anything, we should just be thankful that BMW made some 350 of these track ready cars for North America. People complained that BMW never brought these cars to the US. So what did they do? For the first time BMW ever, brought a track focused model to the US and people kept complaining, calling them out, saying they brought TOO many. The reason so many stayed on the lots is not because people didn't want them, it's because dealers wanted ridiculous markups exceeding $340K+ in some cases for a GTS. |
