Carbon fiber roof or moonroof?

Why would it look strange? Which colors are you referring to?

This will be my third BMW coupe and although I love sunroofs, I will order the cf roof for the first time. I just hope it doesn't make my interior too dark since I am going with AY/BLK and will be putting 5% tint.

I'm going to buy the car with carbon fiber roof. I personally think the carbon roof look great on all colors, anything the carbon roof accentuate the color. I don't think it look strange on any color. The moonroof/regular sheet metal look rather plain unless u want the moonroof.

Love the CF roof but love having a sunroof in a sedan more. Don't want the interior of my M3 feeling claustrophobic and dark. Especially with a black interior. Sucks we can't have both CF and sunroof.

My current M3 is jet black with black leather, so I have the moon roof, which I love and use all the time. Come to think of it, I've had moon roof on all my cars since 1994. BUT, will get the CF with this coming one. Still undecided AW or YMB but in either case, I'll go with the CF.

It's black. It goes with any conceivable color. You can also paint it body color if you want. The trunk lid is carbon. Personally I want to show the carbon off. It's one of my favorite features of the car.

My last three cars have all had a sunroof, and I have it open or have the cover back all the time. I want the carbon roof, but the sunroof would get constant use and I would miss it.

Every car I'd ever owned before my M3 had a sunroof. Used it every drive it wasn't raining. In my Xterra, I even removed the roof box to use the sunroof (yes, the Xterra looks stupid w/o the roofbox)... Damnitalltohell, nothing was going to make me drive w/o the sunroof!

Haven't missed it a single day in the M3. Driven from Baltimore to LA and back. Baltimore to Houston and back. Baltimore to BFE, Michigan and back. Not once have I thought to myself while driving... "Damn, wish I had the the sunroof today."

Also, I'd be surprised if someone had seen the CF roof in person and thought it "looked strange," regardless of color. The CF roof is part of what makes the car special.

Nothing against anyone who needs their SR (I understand the desire, I really do), but not in this car.

That is why ordered Silver Int on my previous M3. It "lightened" up the int considerably.

So heck No to sunroof.

I just want the roof to be black on my black car. I don't like the way CF hoods look, unpainted CF trunks look, etc.

I've always loved my moon roofs but am really torn between a CF roof and moonroof.

I'm getting a SSII M4 w/ black interior. Think CF would look sick but think I would miss the moonroof.
