If I'm taking a ramp or a turn at speeds over 25 mph going left my steering wheel vibrates. I've taken turns at 50+mph to the right and the car is perfect. It's only on the left turns where the steering wheel vibrates.
I assumed it was suspension related, but what I think is unique about this scenario is that I get the same exact vibration in the steering wheel when I brake hard. During aggressive braking you can feel the steering wheel vibrate; it feels like it's coming from the front driver side wheel. So it can't be brake related because it happens while I'm turning at speed, without touching the brakes. I assumed it could be a bent rim, but when I'm driving straight it's fine and when I look at the rim I don't see any visible problems (I heard around the seal area you can visually tell if there's a bent rim). Also these symptoms recently started and I literally barely see potholes, the car is used to go to work and back and the gym and back, smooth roads. . No spacers, completely stock, adaptive suspension, OEM 437's. I'm out of warranty otherwise I'd go to the dealership. Would prefer to avoid them unless I absolutely have to, need car for work and my dealers annoying about loaners because I bought the car out of state. If I drove the car like a commuter you wouldn't be able to notice any of this, it's only when you're aggressively turning left or aggressively braking. |

Front wheel bearing is what’s likely creating the noise. You could jack the side of the car up so the tire isn’t touching the ground and then check for play. Push and pull on the top and bottom of the tire/wheel to check for play.

It's like a vibration/skipping/hopping from the front driver wheel. My local suspension shop checked it out and he said there's nothing wrong that he can find when he took the wheel off and inspected the bearing and other stuff (alignment etc) and it probably is be drivetrain related, which is annoying because that's gonna be expensive. He works on a lot of f8x Car was never lowered or tracked. Any more ideas before I move forward with an expensive fix? Prob will be doing driveshaft or suspension component. Thinking about getting it road force balanced or maybe it's a bad tire but idk if that'll be a waste of time/money. It's more of a shudder than vibration. Or hopping. |

If you take it to the dealer please update what they tell you, I'm not going to be able to drop my car off for a few weeks unfortunately because I bought my car out of state they don't give me loaners here in NY and I need it lol

It's the control arm on the opposite side that you turn when feeling vibration. Passenger lower control arm for me, aka front wishbone. Part is $188, hopefully my warranty covers instead of blaming it on road hazard or potholes, as the roads I drive on are extremely smooth. I wonder if this caused a warped rotor and it's why I feel it when braking.
