A friend of mine recently found CGU to be most competitive. He increased excess to reduce premium and added aftermarket extras to increase value.

Apparently if you don't want any issues with choice of repairer any insurer from the IAG group is ok. Whereas the Suncorp group who now owns Shannons can be a bit more particular.

I just insured my M4C with Australia Post insurance. Cheapest I could find, full agreed value and included windscreen cover for a little extra.

Trust me I'm as surprised to write that as you are to read it.

The big insurers all wanted huge premiums.
