Anyone local own a 30 Jahre

I'm considering purchasing a 30 Jahre edition M3. The car is located pretty far, out of state, and I've never seen the color in person. I'm not completely sold on the color from the photos, but I'd like to see it in person first. I've heard the photos don't do it justice.

Does anyone local to Rutgers East Brunswick in central NJ own one that I could maybe see in person?

Would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

They only came in Macao Blue

It's a pretty cool color in direct sunlight but in the shade/clouds it looks gray and almost black at times

Thanks all. I think I need to see it in person though.
I've heard that it looks grey/black in the shade as well.

The pictures I've seen in sunlight, however, look purplish to me.
I'm not sure I love the purple. So, I'm trying to figure out whether it's indeed purplish in the light, or more bluish.

Oh I didn't know that. The color is a little boring for a special edition car IMO.

It mostly looks Mineral Gray to me when it's not in the direct light. When it's in the sun though it definitely has a purplish hue to it, more so than blue. It's a unique color though, but certainly not for everyone haha

It's a throwback to the color they used on the Sport Evo M3 (first generation). It's not my favorite color either, it's like an odd mix between Champagne QuartZ and Mineral Gray Metallic almost.
