I thought the fbo mustang at the end did pretty good. tesla pulled ahead by a car length then mustang flew by like the tesla was standing still on the 40 roll.
looks like they put down 470-480whp. about the same as a stage 1 tune F80. |

Not bad. Stick to the Digs/20/30/40 rolls and the M3P kicks ass. The 60 rolls are not it's strong suit. You have to decide if you prefer gapping from a roll or dig...unless you go for something like 911 Turbo S, 720S, etc, which have both.
That GTO was rapid AF. Then again, it was heavily modded with turbos, drag slicks, and most likely race gas/E85. Aside from the monster built up GTO, most of those cars did not pass the Tesla until 120MPH+

By the way, seems like a pre modded turbo GTO is a $20k used car. How about just get that so you can dominate the roll racing |

I got FSD because i'm planning to keep this thing forever. But if you're leasing, save the $ and skip it |

How much does FSD add to the lease? As Nicknaz mentioned FSD at the moment gets you navigate on autopilot, auto lane change, auto park, summon, and the latest computer aka HW3. I don't have FSD. Decided to go with enhanced autopilot which isn’t an option anymore. enhanced is an in between from autopilot and FSD. It was a great option for me because I get everything that’s currently out now...and am skeptical that full autonomous driving will be out before I trade in for a newer car....mostly due to regulatory approval. I don’t use NOA...prefer to do highway changes myself. Auto lane change is nice to have on long commutes to work and longer road trips. Autopark works pretty good...will get you perfectly centered in parking spots....but it’s slow so I rarely use it. Summon...is more of a party trick right now. I tried smart summon in a relatively empty parking lot and it worked pretty good. When I might actually use it is to be seen. But I use regular summon every time I wash my car when putting on tire dressing. Is it necessary? No...but I do it because I can lol. Getting HW3 is more about future proofing the car. Right now none of the features benefit from the faster processing. Is it worth getting FSD if you’re leasing? Depends on whether you think any of those features are worth the added monthly. |

He weighed around 140lbs and I am around 225ish and my TTRS actually was neck and neck from multiple 40 rolls up to 115 with the F80. We all saw what that M3P *with heavy wheels/tires and a heavier driver did to my TTRS... hard to compare different races as there so many factors at play.

I bought mine but did not get the FSD as that would have been a waste of $6K as I would not use any of those features.

I got both the Model 3 Performance and the M3. Both have their advantages but the Model 3 is faster because of torque.

Tesla has 15k a year . I pay 715 with tax for my f80 with 12k but that's with my lease broker deal. I drove a performance around for the day . I love it I killed about 100 miles of range in maybe 30 to 40 miles . One thing I did notice was the brakes were horrible. The car had maybe 60 miles on it when I got it and from 70+ the pedal was very hard and wasnt stopping at all. Ill chalk this up to new pads and rotors but man it was a little unsettling when doing 120 mph runs. https://photos.app.goo.gl/zYbMGXnVCZJQftkR6 Last edited by SflBimmer8484; 10-19-2019 at 06:06 PM.. |

I took delivery of my Model 3 Performance 3 weeks ago. Much of it has already been said in the thread. As a daily it can't be beat. Given the choice when leaving the house, it gets chosen 9 out of 10 times against the M3. It's smoother, faster, and more convenient to live with on a daily basis. The M3 will see heavy track duty, but I hope to get the Model 3 out there to see how well it does. Congrats to Tesla for converting a hardcore BMW fan boy. For those that aren't sure, just go test drive one. The choice is pretty easy after that.
