Value of 2016 M4 Cab?

Looking for auction values for 2016 M4 Cab.

Been offered 36k only in trade. Black Book Lite says car is worth way more:

Would like at least 40k or I might as well keep.

Well if I'm reading it correctly the trade in appears to be fair, to get the price you want you'll have to try a private sale. Honestly unless you just have to dump the car to get something else, I'd keep it. I think the 15s/16s have had the big time depreciation hit, so you won't be losing much relatively speaking to hold on to it. I expect depreciation to slow as I just can't see them getting close to the previous generation M3 prices.

These cars are too awesome to give away for a price you're not comfortable with. Good luck!

For a trade value $36k doesn't seem that bad, depends on if you are getting good discounts on what you are buying. Does trade reduce sales tax on the new vehicle in FL? Clean carfax? Maybe you could sell privately for $45k or so, that $49k number is definitely out of reach I have seen comps selling for that or slightly less. Most people don't like trying to sell their car and it frankly can be a big headache. You can see what Carmax will give you, sometimes it can be higher than other trade offers.

Seems low but I'm not surprised since dealers love to lowball customers. Are they at least giving you a good discount for the new car?

Keep it as a second car if you have space for it. Like another poster mentioned your car has seen the most depreciation already and it won't depreciate much anymore. GL

My reason for selling is I bought a 911 and hard to justify two expensive cars. Was offered $39,100 on a 135i trade, but that car needed to much. I thought I would get a 135i for say $15k, and bank $23-25k. I own M4 free and clear so do not have to sell, and may just keep it if I don't get my ask. I don't need the money really either, but I thought turning a 135i convertible into a 1m would be a fun project.
