Extended warranty worth? 2015 M4

Hey guys, first time M owner here! Finally got my dream car after losing my E90 in a crash. Just looking for opinions I guess on whether the extended warranty would be worth it based of known/usual issues. CPO runs out this coming week and I was provided a quote from bmw. Extending the cpo is a hard no for me. Not worth it but their third party MAP (Motorist Assist Plan) is decently priced. Below was my quote. Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated! The car has been maintained well and only and O2 sensor fail in the past. Everything else perfect and at 44k miles. No mods or plans to mod this other than cosmetics.

BMW Extended warranty WRAP: (hard no)
$5200 covered till 01/29/2021
$7000 covered 01/29/2022

MAP (Motorist Assist Plan)
3 more years/42k miles - $5880
Covered till 2023
4 more years/50k miles - $6000
4 more years/60k miles - $6200
Covered till 2024

Anyone of those options is money towards a possible repair.

Holy crap! That MAP plan has gone up huge! I purchase mine in February 2019, went with their top of the line four year plan (2/23) and it only cost me a hair over $4k. I haven't had any occasion to use it in its first year, luckily, so I can't comment on how easy they are to deal with. I know the guys at the dealership I've worked with for over 20 years raved about the place, said they've covered all issues with no more than a phone call from the dealership requesting reimbursement for the repairs. They could have sold me a line of BS, but I doubt it, I've known them all for many years.

I did the four year/60k miles top of the line for $4200, can't believe they want basically 50% more now for the same plan less than a year later!! :O

$4200 was hard for me to swallow, so I don't think there's anyway I would have paid $6200. That's a ton of money! Good luck with whatever you decide.

For sure, that's a given. Just looking for those familiar either with MAP if they're any good in terms of customer service or claims?

And anyone who is familiar with what issues these cars commonly have that I could come to face and if these prices are ridiculous for what repairs may come.

Right??? Lol I appreciate the reply! My bmw rep told me "Platinum MAP Warranty it is very comprehensive coverage and you will be getting something equally similar to a Certified Pre Owned Warranty." So was just curious if anyone has experience as well.

$6k is a lot to put down. Which is why I'm iffy on taking the gamble or just paying it. Not entirely knowledgeable on how solid these engines are or the common issues that come up. Completely different animal than my E90 lol

I’d get rid of the car before paying $6K - $7K.

There is another thread with warranty information around. Try fdwarranty.com. Troy doesn’t sell BMW-branded warranties but he does sell Fidelity warranties that cover BMWs. I’ve had a good experience with them for my wife’s Q5 and have used it quite a bit. Fidelity does seem to send out an inspector for every claim but haven’t pushed back on anything to date.
